Diva's Weekly Challenge#257: "Guest Post - Oooh Shiny!"

This week's challenge was a Guest challenge by CZT Amy Broady.
She challenged us "to make your tangled work shine! Or gleam. Or glint. Add a special touch. I challenge you to include a METALLIC feature in your tangled art this week. It could be bold or subtle, a major feature, or a finishing touch."

Here is my tile with Coil, Mooka, Oybay and some Tipple.
I used my Derwent Inktense color pencils to make the Coil look like a metal. I also used my gold glitter pens on some of the Tipple

The metallic look was inspired by Eni Oken's gold work post on 'Shading Zentangle' group on Facebook

Diva's Weekly Challenge#256 - Duotangle: Boo*Kee/Artoo

This week's challenge is to create a tile or piece using only two tangles by the Diva (CZT® Laura Harms)that are named after her two boys. The tangles are Boo*Kee and Artoo.
I know it was a Duo tangle challenge but I could not stop myself from using Diva Dance. That's because I always see the Diva standing strong behind her boys.
Here is my tile.

Diva's Weekly Challenge#255 - "Ghosts of Tangles Past"

This week's challenge is to look back into our archives and recreate a tile from past with our present style.
It's been a year since I started Zentangle. But I could still see some changes.
My old style was to draw a String, and fill in each section with a different tangle, shading was not important.

Now I use fewer tangles in my tiles, and I have now learned the difference that shading can make in a tile.

Here are my old and new tiles.

Tangle Patterns String#146, Onamato, Demi, Bask-It, Barberpole, Inapod

This is such a fun tangle. So many different ways you could fill it up.

I filled mine with Tripoli and Tipple. Here's my tile.

Diva's Weekly Challenge#252-""String Theory: Tangle within a tangle"

This week's challenge is to use a tangle as our string.

I chose one of my favorite among the weave tangles, W2(Warp and Weft).
So this is my String tile.

I used Arukas, Onamato and W2 as tangles. W2 inside W2.. yes like inception.. mathematically speaking its like recursion..

Here's my tile before and after shading.

Let's keep tangling!!

For "It's a String Thing" #128, Adele selected TanglePatterns String 129 by Nancy Smith

This week's tangles include:
Hypnotic by Elena Hadzijaneva - I had never done 'Hypnotic' before. A very simple, fun-to-do tangle!
Paradox by Rick Roberts, Zentangle® co-founder

Adele was also kind enough to provide her tips for tangling both patterns.

Here is my tile.

Let's keep tangling!
