Diva's Weekly Challenge #221: "Beads of Courage"

This week's challenge is to be inspired by Beads of Courage.
Beads of Courage supports kids with chronic or life threatening illnesses and their families. On this program instead of getting a sticker or a lollipop for getting a needle or an X-Ray, or a test of some kind, the kids get a glass bead to represent that part of their medical journey.

I am a BT survivor and have had to undergo radiation and chemotherapy sessions.  I understand that it can be very hard when you have to spend several days in hospital, dreading what doctors have to say about your condition. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is for kids who can't understand what's happening and why..

I would like to dedicate this tile to Artoo for being so brave and to Laura for being a braver mother.

I have used tangles Diamonddrops, Jetties, Yinlinx that resemble beads.

Let's keep tangling!

Don't forget to see the other entries for challenge on Diva's blog

  1. Plain simple black and white, it works perfectly.

  2. This is very lovely ... so delicate the way you strung your beads!! I too have lived through a lot as an adult around health - but not so much as a child. Strength Artoo has!

  4. Very beautiful and there is nice contrast in your tile.

  5. I love your tile! I'm not familiar with ANY of the tiles you used but I sure do like them'

  6. Lovely Challenge Tile. Beautiful Patterns and so well drawn. Your design is wonderful. I very much like how each bead string contains one pattern for a pleasing completeness to your delightful work.
